Hongwei Medical Group® was founded in 1993 in Shandong, China.

Hongwei Liu who was born in Shandong, China was in a tragic bicycle accident at the age of 17 years old, which resulted in permanent loss of sight in both eyes. Fraught with uncertainty about his future, his father was resolved to ensure that Hongwei lived a fulfilling, purposeful, and enriching life.

With much resistance at first, Hongwei matriculated at Henan Vocational College of Tuina and Acupuncture. After graduating with honors, Hongwei has gone on to establish as many as 35 medical clinics throughout the Jinan, Shandong province.

Hongwei’s inspirational story has captured the imagination of many, especially his sister, Hongxia Liu who followed in his footsteps and graduated from Henan Vocational College of Tuina and Acupuncture, specializing in Tui Na Therapy.

As an ambassador of the Hongwei brand, Ms. Liu has galvanized a team of medical professionals who deliver the very best of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) in the South Bay Area of California.

Hongwei Medical Group® believes that to the degree it is able to form a collaborative relationship between Eastern and Western medicine, its patients can experience the best of both worlds and the salubrious lifestyle they were intended to live.

Expansion

Hongwei Medical Group® has since expanded to two locations in San Jose and Cupertino.
